Welcome to Reiki, Lotus Reiki

REIKI (Ray-key) is Japanese for a rediscovered ancient healing method. The discoverer was Dr. Mikao Usui of Japan, whose Reiki lineage eventually brought it to the United States.  Recent research indicates that what is now called Reiki was in use in ancient India, Tibet, and possibly Egypt. Translated, Reiki means spiritual wisdom coupled with the universal life force, produces an energy that is appropriate for healing body, mind, and  spirit. Usui Reiki teaches hands-on and distance healing techniques, augmented by the use of four symbols: power, mental, emotional, and wisdom.  It is also believed by many that each practitioner receives spiritual Reiki guides and guidance.  My Master Reiki guide made his presence known to me with the introduction of the lotus blossom.  Practitioners receive healing while they are giving healing. That is the nature of Reiki.  To create a healing in the physical body a change must occur in one's mental and emotional attitudes and belief systems.  Receiving the master attunements accelerated my spiritual evolution, later realizing it had actually begun with the first degree attunements.  Lotus Reiki evolved from the entire process.
    The Lotus blossom, like the Butterfly, is a symbol of transformation.  Dr. Ishito, my Reiki Master Guide, has gently but steadily guided me through my self-transformation and made it clear that THAT is the focus of Lotus Reiki.  When a pebble is dropped into water it creates a ripple effect, enlarging as it moves, in an ever widening circle.  A  paradigm shift in consciousness occurs in the same manner, rippling out, one person at a time.  Lotus Reiki teaches the traditional method of healing but also focuses on self-transformation for the student.  Each is encouraged to develop their intuition, listen to their higher mind, and become a multi-sensory being rather than remaining in the present five-sensory, third dimensional, awareness.
    Practitioners are encouraged to show respect and be reverent toward the receivers of Reiki, helping them, as they lay upon the table, or sit in a chair, to fully relax, become quiet within, creating a shift in their own consciousness which allows the healing to begin.
    Lotus Reiki uses the Usui symbols and also places emphasis on the use of three additional tools.  Lotus Reiki Master-Teachers are encouraged to help students and receivers of Reiki become self-sufficient, self-reliant, and self-responsible.  Upon gaining expertise in the use of these tools users can rule the world, but only their own!
    Dr. Ishito recently prompted the creation of the Lotus Reiki Love Links for those at a distance who need healing.  To submit a request email: lotusreiki@wizard.com, give your first name, last initial, city and state, and nature of  the illness.  We ask that you update us  periodically on the requester's condition and certainly upon conclusion.  We also send Reiki to animals, events, and situations.
    To become a student of Reiki, contact listed  Reiki Master/Teachers.  Each Master/Teacher plans their own classes and sets their own fees, as each person has free will.  In Lotus Reiki there are 3 or 4 levels, depending on your desires.  First degree focuses on hands-on healing practices, four attunements are given;  Second degree focuses on distance healing, and requires two attunements; Third degree/Practicing Master focuses on gaining wisdom and self transformation, two attunements;. Fourth  degree/Master-Teacher:  how to pass attunements and give classes.  Third and Fourth degree can be combined for those who want to become Reiki Master Teachers.  They were separated to accommodate those who do not want to teach Reiki yet want to be attuned with the master symbol.
    Reiki uses the violet ray of unconditional love and is the greatest tool I have ever encountered for transforming oneself from the present day duality, fear-based belief system to a love-based system that recognizes the oneness of all life.
